Desiree Cox is Of Counsel to the firm, focusing on complex insurance defense litigation.
Ms. Cox graduated from Hastings College of Law and then worked for almost 10 years in the General Counsel's Office and Staff Counsel Department of Fireman's Fund Insurance Company in Novato. She next "hung out her shingle" and worked as a solo practitioner in Santa Rosa for 10 years, specializing in employment discrimination, sexual harassment, and sexual assault cases.
Ms. Cox has the honor of being admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, as well as the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States District Courts for the Northern and Eastern Districts of California. She has also taught a variety classes in the Sonoma State Legal Assistant Program, Sonoma County Bar Association Continuing Legal Education Program, and Women Against Rape Crisis Line Training Program.
Ms. Cox was born in Alameda, but the magical time she spent living in Cazadero as a young child eventually drew her back to Sonoma County, where she has lived for almost 20 years. In her spare time, Ms. Cox can be found attending her two "tween's" many sporting events, relaxing at a yoga class, or skimming across a nearby lake in her family's ski boat.
